Vaani Kapoor, from the struggling girl who started her career with Maneesh Sharma’s romantic-comedy movie Shuddh Desi Romance, to getting a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films (YRF), has finally joined the path that is leading her towards the success.
Her movies like Befikre and War did well on the box office and earned her some great offers by the renowned filmmakers. However, Vaani seems a little choosy and thinks alot before signing any new project. That’s why she remained away from the screen for a long time after her last movie Befikre opposite to Ranveer Singh. In an interview, the actor opened up about the long break and said:
“I’m choosy. I was offered a few scripts. But I felt something was amiss in them. I didn’t feel passionate about them.
I’ve been like this both in my professional and personal life. Even where friends are concerned, there are just a handful whom I welcome in my life. They know me inside out. I’m quality oriented rather than quantity oriented. It’s not like I am some mega star, who has lots of scripts to choose from. Nevertheless, I thought it was better I wait for something interesting to come along.”

When asked what appealed her about signing Siddharth Anand’s War, the actress said:
“Every project has a different storyline. I don’t want to prove a point by saying that I will only do a film where I have the meatiest part. Today there’s an emergence of women-driven films and amazing content. War offered me the opportunity to play an important character opposite such brilliant performers like Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. I wasn’t willing to miss it.”
About the experience of working with Hrithik and Tiger in the movie, Vaani Kapoor said:
“It was amazing. Hrithik is so sharp and intelligent. He knows exactly what works. When it comes to hard work and putting in efforts, he leaves no stone unturned. Tiger is polite and sweet. Both are phenomenal, they inspire you. They have the drive to excel. Their hunger is insatiable.”
