Indian actor Taapsee Pannu wants to keep herself busy in new projects in order to get more time to think about getting married.
The actress, who is said to be the simple yet attractive face of Bollywood, is currently focused on her career and wants to groom herself in the industry in order to compete with other popular female actors.
In an interview, when Taapsee was asked about her plans to get married, she replied: “No way, this is not the time. I am just focused on my career at present. My parents wants me to get married when I am ready. You know, when your girl is a star, you can’t put any kind of pressure on her as she’s on her own [laughs]. “
The Badlaa actor’s mum, Nirmaljeet Pannu was also asked if she or her husband has ever forced her daughter to get married. She said:
“She is never too interested in the marriage. We know how she is. She makes her own decisions and we don’t put any kind of pressure. I know she’s a wise girl and she will do it whenever she thinks it’s the right time. There’s absolutely no pressure on her to get married. I do talk about it sometimes, but even I don’t believe in the institution of marriage much. So it’s up to her.”
When asked about what kind of ceremony she would like, Taapsee said:
“I am a simple person, I don’t want a big fat Indian wedding. Whenever I get married, it will be a close-knit family affair. I don’t want it to be a three-four day affair. It will all be in a day.”
On the work front, Taapsee was last seen in Anubhav Sinha directorial 2020 Indian Hindi-language drama film Thappad. She will be next seen in Vinil Mathew’s mystery thriller Haseen Dillruba. The film is slated to release in September 2020.
