Sheheryar Munawar to work in Jamil Dehlavi’s Film?

Few weeks ago, UK-based director Jamil Dehlavi, who directed famous Jinnah movie starring Christopher Lee, announced that he was going to work on another project in Pakistan.

His last project in Pakistan was Jinnah that was a biographical film based on the life of the founder and first Governor General of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

According to reports, Jamil Dehlavi is in Pakistan these days working on his untitled project. He has taken some big names onboard and seems that celebrated actor Sheheryar Munawar is one of them.

Sheheryar, who was busy with director Wajahat Rauf’s upcoming film, has reportedly walked out of the film and joined the cast of UK-based independent filmmaker’s project.


The actor had shot some scenes of the movie that is written by Chupan Chupai director Mohsin Ali and produced by Zayed Sheikh. However, it has been reported that Sheheryar was facing some date clashes and apparently he chose Dehlavi’s film over Wajahat Rauf’s project. The movie also stars Hania Amir and Kiran Haq in pivotal roles.

About Jamil Dehlavi’s film

According to details, Jamil Dehlavi is in Pakistan these days and it is being said that he has started finalizing the cast for his movie. The script was finalized last month.

Media reports suggest that the project of esteemed director is likely to be completed next year and the movie would hit the big screen in March 2020.

Jamil Dehlavi has many acclaimed movies to his credit that include Seven Lucky Gods, Infinite Justice, and Godforsaken.

His last project Jinnah did not do much on the box office. However, fans seemed to have liked the direction, and of course, the acing by Christopher Lee. Here are few comments by the fans of Jinnah (movie).
