Salman Khan shares a great and lovely bond with his father Salim Khan. They both leave no chance showing their love towards each other at any platform. Recently, Salim Khan remembered his son’s time in jail with teary eyes. He spoke his heart out as to how he felt when he went to see the Dabangg actor who was imprisoned in blackbuck poaching case.
Salman Khan spent five days in Jodhpur jail as punishment for hunting the threatened Chinkara and Blackbuck in Rajasthan during the shoot of Sooraj Barjatya directorial movie Hum Saath Saath Hain. His father and his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan visited him in the jail and spent some time with the actor. Salim Khan, who is a celebrated writer, had opened up about his ordeal when he saw his son in the Jodhpur jail.
‘Prisoner number 343, when I went to Jodhpur [jail]), they were talking about prisoners. The people told me to sit and wait for my son’s turn. Meanwhile, they were saying ‘bring 343’. I was thinking who is 343. And when he arrived, it was my son, Salman),” Salim had tears in his eyes.
He said that Salman Khan was feeling ashamed in front of him and he cried when he went to hug him.
“He [Salman] was feeling bad that he hurt his parents in the process,” he said.
Khan also opened up about the hit and run case on Salman saying:
“There is no provision in law for parents of those accused. – What wrong did the parents do? How hurt will they be when their child is punished, what are they being punished for? We felt guilty even while drinking water and using AC because we were thinking about his conditions in the jail. He had told me that it is just a rug for bed with no fan and they keep a bucket beside him.”
