Newspapers and channels make blunders often. Sometimes you will hear news that would bring amusement to you whereas some stories would surprise you. Recently, many social media users were left in laughter when a newspaper mistakenly published Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s picture, terming him a double murder accused.
A court has acquitted Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Amir Khan in a double murder case. As Khan is a renowned stalwart, local news channels and newspapers reported about his acquittal. However, seems one of those newspapers were in a hurry that it published Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s picture instead of MQM leader’s.
Soon after people found about this error, many took to social media to share about this. Dozens of memes were also shared on Twitter and Facebook. Indian journalist Naila Inayat was first to share this news on her account. She wrote: “Headline: After 17 years MQM leader Amir Khan exonerated in a murder case. Didn’t know Indian actor Amir Khan was in Pakistan for the last 17 years.”
