Sunny Deol says Pakistan is a ‘land of peace and love’

Seems Bollywood actor Sunny Deol loved visiting our country and loved to meet the people here. The Gaddar actor has praised Pakistan and the people here saying that he received a warm welcome and immense love during his visit to the country.

The Bollywood actor turned politician reached Lahore on November 9 through Wagah Border along with other Indian prominent figures including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor.

“It was a great to visit [Pakistan] and it was a great initiative. I received lots of love and this is just the beginning, I hope things remain the same and we all live in love. This is the beginning of peace. There is no point in fighting. there should only be love”, said Sunny Deol while talking to the local media.

The actor said that Pakistan was a peaceful country and he felt like being at home in Pakistan.

“This [Pakistan] is also our home. Boundaries are created by the people, but we all are connected through our hearts. I would love to visit [Pakistan] again and meet the people,” the actor said.

Fans of Indian movies would surely know the characters played by Sunny Deol in Indian movies. The actor had been criticised for playing anti-Pakistan roles in most of his films including Gaddar, where he played the role of a Indian Sikh who falls in love with a Muslim girl. He could be seen coming to Pakistan in the movie to get his wife back from her Pakistan-based parents. The actor played an aggressive role in the movie where he could he seen fighting with dozens of Pakistani people alone using a hand pump. That scene became one of his famous scenes. He has also played the anti-Pakistani Indian’s role in many other Bollywood movies.
