Like many other celebrities, seems that Mehmood Aslam is also not much happy with Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. Veteran actor appeared in a recent interview where he spoke about working with the Meray Paas Tum Ho writer and we can say that all ‘did not go well’ between two of them.
Mehmood Aslam was part of Khalil ur Rehman Qamar written movie Kaaf Kangana along with Saba Hameed and others. However, due to some ‘unknown reason’, both [Mehmood and Saba] were replaced by KRQ.
The actor opened up about what went wrong on the sets of the movie, saying:
“Everything was going well until Saba Hameed and Khalil ur Rehman Qamar engaged in a fight on the sets of Kaaf Kangana. Saba had completed 90 percent of her shooting. However, after the fight between both, he [Khalil] decided to replace Saba and bring a new actor,” Mehmood said.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar to Mehmood Aslam: ‘You can’t insult writers like this’
He added: “90% of my shoot was also complete. I was supposed to shoot for 10 days. However, I was asked to give more time due to the ongoing tension. I agreed to give more time and shot for 18 days instead of 10. I had other projects to do. But he wanted more time. I excused and said I am not available immediately as I have to shoot for Wrong No. 2, I will join you soon after wrapping up the shooting for the movie.”
“Seems Khalil ur Rehman tends to ask for immediate dates, and nobody is free in this world. He called me up and said, I have nothing against you, however, if you give me your permission, I would like to replace you as well. Now what was I suppose to reply? I said ok. Let me tell you actor is the king. An actor cannot be replaced.”
“I told him that a director can be replaced. A film can be completed if we appoint a new writer because a writer is dependent on director and actor. A writer’s work is lifeless alone, an actor puts life in them!” He emphasized.
It should be mentioned that the Pyarey Afzal writer had apologized to Mehmood Aslam and Saba Hameed after which, Saba agreed to work in his new film London Nahi Jaunga.
