Saif Ali Khan, the versatile actor, who has given some brilliant performances in his movies like Race 2, Agent Vinod, Kurbaan and many more, is once again set to win the hearts with his upcoming movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Om Raut’s directorial movie is a period drama which also features Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Uday Bhan, a Rajput working for Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

“Story of the movie revolves around Subedar Taanaji Malusare, the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who lost his life in the battle at Sinhagad fort,” said the actor while talking about the movie at a ceremony.
Recently, during an interview, the Cocktail actor was asked why did he choose to take up a negative role. He explained:
“The character had energy on paper.”

Saif also said that his performance in the movie is being lauded by his fans and his family. He said that his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and his daughter Sara Ali Khan are eagerly waiting to see the movie.
“Kareena really hasn’t seen anything and I think she’s really looking forward to seeing the movie. Right now, she’s just happy with the response Good Newwz is getting and is busy shopping. Yeah but she’s seen the trailer of Jawaani Jaaneman and it works for her. She says it’s really nice,” he said.
Ajay Devgn: Saif was perfect for the role in Tanhaji
Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is all praise for Saif Ali Khan for his role in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, saying that the actor was a perfect choice for the role he’s played in the movie.
“We wanted someone who could emote and depict the character well as he is at loggerheads with Tanhaji. We wanted one who’d be wicked and quirky. The idea was to find an actor with gravitas. Saif was perfect for the role. We’ve gotten along well right from our first film, Kacche Dhaage [ 1999] and then, Omkara [ 2006]. We narrated the script, and he instantly liked it. Even though we didn’t work together as much as we should have [in the past], I am glad we collaborated on this film.”
