Baby Doll famed singer Kanika Kapoor became the first Indian celebrity to get affected by Coronavirus. She was tested positive for COVID-19 after she went through the screening upon her arrival at Lucknow airport.
Kanika had returned from the UK. According to media reports, the singer attended different public events in Lucknow where she met with almost 300 people.
“Kanika Kapoor reveals she tested positive for COVID-19,” said a media report.
The Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan singer also confirmed this in a post on her social media account.

“For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well,” she wrote.
She added: “At this stage I would like to urge you all to practice self isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health. Jai Hind !Take care.”

Soon after her post, Kanika was trolled badly by the social media users for negligence. Many slammed her for not being responsible and maintaining social distance. Some said that the authorities should be held responsible who did not test her immediately after her return from the UK. However, no one seemed talking in favor of the singer.
After being thrashed for her, it seems that Kanika deleted this post without giving any explanation of why she did so. She is currently being treated in Lucknow in SGPGI.
