Hollywood star Johnny Depp has joined the social networking platform Instagram in order to connect with his millions of fans worldwide.
Depp, who is always busy in entertaining his admirers with his videos and his movies, recently made an account on the site and amassed more than two million followers within few hours. He shared his first picture and a video on his new account and told his fans that he was spending his time in isolation.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor also thanked his fans for showing support for him during the feud with his ex Amber Heard.
“Thank you all for your kindness, your unwavering support and your strength over these years,” Johnny said in an eight-minute video.
He further said: “I don’t think I’ve really ever felt any particular reason to (join social media) until now.”
The actor told his fans that he decided to make his Instagram debut Depp due to self-isolation amid coronavirus outbreak.
“Now is the time to open up a dialogue, as the threat of this invisible enemy has already caused immeasurable tragedies and damage to people’s lives. We cannot and must not succumb to shutting down and giving in to what feels like hellish quarantine monotony,” he said.
