MUMBAI: Indian actor and lawmaker Sunny Deol, who is famous for his roles in anti-Pakistan films, will be arriving in Pakistan tomorrow, this time for real!
The Indian media reported that the actor Sunny Deol in Pakistan Tomorrow morning will be visiting Pakistan to be the part of inaugural procession of Kartarpur Corridor.
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan will be inaugurating the Holy place of Sikhs tomorrow (November 9).
The opening ceremony will be taking place in Nankana Sahab, district Narrowal of Punjab province in Pakistan. According to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistan has formally invited many Indian politicians and celebrities to attend the Kartarpur Corridor inauguration ceremony.
Earlier, Pakistan had invited former prime Indian minister Manmohan Singh and famous celebrity and lawmaker Navjot Singh Sidhu for the occasion. However, the superstar of Bollywood Sunny Deol has also confirmed that he will be attending the ceremony in Pakistan.
The Bollywood actor, who is also the lawmaker of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Gurdaspur district, announced the news of his visit to Pakistan during a press conference.
“Yes, I will be going to Kartarpur Jattha. If I don’t go, then who will? It’s my area, my home, I will surely go there,” the actor told the newsmen.
Fans of Indian movies would surely know the characters played by Sunny Deol in Indian movies. The actor had been criticised for playing anti-Pakistan roles in most of his films including Gaddar, where he played the role of a Indian Sikh who falls in love with a Muslim girl. He could be seen coming to Pakistan in the movie to get his wife back from her Pakistan-based parents. The actor played an aggressive role in the movie where he could he seen fighting with dozens of Pakistani people alone using a hand pump. That scene became one of his famous scenes. He has also played the anti-Pakistani Indian’s role in many other Bollywood movies.
