Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is known for creating controversies by targeting women in his interviews. The renowned writer, who recently enjoyed the success of high-rated drama Meray Paas Tum Ho has remained the centre of criticism by many women including celebrities.
Famous host and actress Iffat Omar called out KRQ for talking against senior actors and said that he should not compare himself with such senior actors as he is not capable of anything. Iffat also said that the writer wasted money of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on what she called ‘super flop movie’ Kaaf Kangana.
“Khalil ur Rehman has disrespected our senior veteran actors publicly. How dare he talk this way about someone who has spent their whole lives in this industry! You cannot say just about anything that comes to your mind. He wasted ISPR’s money on Kaaf Kangana. He has wasted the tax payer’s money! He should be held accountable for that. It was such a low quality film. So yes I suggested ISPR that there should be a ban on this man temporarily,” Iffat said in an interview.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar also decided to respond to her criticism. He replied:
” She [Iffat Omar] is also like my younger sister. She said some distasteful things about me. May God forgive her. Beta, you shouldn’t say such things. She made some mean comments on my film. It wasn’t nice. It doesn’t suit her caliber.”
However, seems the verbal war between the two has finally ended as it is being reported by some media outlets that both Iffat and KRQ have agreed to work together for next project.
Iffat Omer has agreed to work in Nadeem Baig’s directorial London Nahi Jaunga. The film also features Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Kubra Khan and Saba Hameed.
