Fawad Chaudhry is known for his sarcastic posts on Twitter. He always brings something new either to make people jealous or to mock someone. This time his target was the honorable judges of Sindh High Court.
Fawad, who holds the portfolio of Federal Science and Technology Minister, mocked the judges of SHC over summoning the lead actor of popular drama Meray Paas Tum Ho.
The judges had summoned Humayun Saeed, who played role of Danish in the top-rated drama of ARY Digital, and asked him to explain his demeaning dialogues that, according to the court, disrespected women.
The actor was asked to appear before the bench after a women filed a petition requesting the court to stop the channel from airing the last episode of Meray Paas Tum Ho.
However, the petition was later dismissed after one of the team members of the drama submitted written response and told the court that it was just a drama and they didn’t mean to disrespect anyone.
Soon after the news broke out, people took to social media to express their views on the move. And our sci-tech minister was also among those who took a jibe at the judges and said that the judges summoned Humayun Saeed just to entertain themselves a little.
“Seems Courts have little number of substantive cases left for disposal so opted k Shughal hi laga lein otherwise nothing can justify this notice,” Fawad Chaudhry wrote in a Twitter post, giving reference of the news.
Did you know that our minister is also a big fan of the drama? No? Well, his tweet says it all.
Must congretulate @ARYVideos for showing epic drama serial #MerayPassTumHo, writer n whole team deserves big applause. I yet again ask @amazon and @Netflix invest in Pak drama n film #Pakistan has far better minds than India our music is far superior, you guys wont regret.
Well, well, who knew that Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has also fan following inside the federal cabinet. We are now waiting for Prime Minister Imran Khan to react on the last episode of Meray Paas Tum Ho and express his grieve on Danish’s death.
