Coronavirus outbreak has spread fear among the people across the globe and many have decided not to set foot outside their house. Not only a common person, but the celebrities also are afraid of the epidemic and they are cancelling their plans to visit any place. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone also called off her plans to visit Paris owing to the global coronavirus outbreak.
The actress was scheduled to visit the country upon the invitation by luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton to attend their show at the Paris Fashion Week, which is due to run till March 3.
However, according to her spokesperson, the Padmaavat actress called off her trip due to the recent developments about the growing coronavirus that has affected several countries.
“Deepika Padukone was scheduled to travel to France to attend Louis Vuitton’s FW2020 show at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week but has had to cancel her trip with news coming in that the coronavirus epidemic has now entered a new stage in France,” said an official spokesperson for the actress.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in ‘83’ playing the character of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev opposite to her husband Ranveer Singh. ‘83’, directed by Kabir Khan, traces Dev’s captaincy in leading the Indian cricket team to defeat the West Indies in the World Cup final in 1983. The movie is produced by Reliance Entertainment.
The actress is also busy with the official Hindi remake of Hollywood comedy hit, ‘The Intern’ which featured Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. Rishi Kapoor will be playing the character of De Niro. The movie will hit the screens in next year (2021).
Deepika last appeared in critically-acclaimed film ‘Chhapaak’, in which she played an acid attack survivor. The film was based on the life of real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
