Christian Bale, who featured in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, which raked in over $2.4 billion at the box office, was offered to do another Batman movie. However, the actor refused to work in the fourth episode saying that there won’t be any other opportunity.
The trilogy [Batman series] concluded in 2012, showing Batman giving up his superhero persona for a quiet life in Italy.

Bale recently told in an interview that he was offered a fourth Batman movie by the producers who wanted him to work in the series. But the actor didn’t think it would be a good idea to take the offer.
“When they came [to us after ‘Batman Begins’] and said, ‘You want to go make another?’ It was fantastic, but we still said, ‘This is it. We will not get another opportunity,'” Bale said.
“When they inevitably came to us and said, ‘How about a No. 4?’ I said, ‘No. We have to stick to Christopher Nolan’s dream, which was always to, hopefully, do a trilogy. Let’s not stretch too far and become overindulgent and go for a fourth,’” the actor added.
After Bale refused to work in the movie, another Hollywood actor Ben Affleck was signed for the Batman series whereas Bale took other projects. He has a new movie out in the cinemas these days, and it is Ford v Ferrari, Disney’s historical sports drama that is ruling the box office these days and sped its way to $31 million in North America.
The movie is directed by James Mangold. It features Christian Bale and Matt Damon in the lead cast. Ford v Ferrari debuted ahead of expectations, thanks to strong word-of-mouth from moviegoers. Audiences awarded the film with a rare A+ CinemaScore, a sign that the racing drama should have a long life in theaters.
