Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi ‘s trailer is out

It was March 2 yesterday. The date should be familiar as last month, director Rohit Shetty had announced that his next movie Sooryavanshi will be releasing next month. The movie features Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

Shetty had also announced that the trailer of the movie, which was slated to release on February 27, will be unveiled on March 2 and seems he kept his promise. The trailer of Bollywood’s superstar Akshay Kumar’s movie is finally out and it’s fantastic.

Sooryavanshi trailer begins with Ajay Devgn who is seen in his role as Singham. Singham tells about the Mumbai blasts that have occurred recently and then reveals the story of Veer Sooryavanshi, a soldier from the Mumbai Anti-terrorism squad, played by Akshay Kumar. Ranveer Singh has also featured in the trailer as Simmba.

The movie is slated to release this month. According to Rohit Shetty, they changed the dates of releasing the trailer and the movie in order to avoid any clash.

“We got a new date for the release [of the movie]. At first, we were planning to release the trailer of Sooryavanshi on February 27, however, we later decided to push it ahead and shift it to a new date. It will now be released on March 2 and the movie will hit the theatres on March 25,” Shetty had said in an interview.

He continued: “Me, Akshay and all the other team members believe that a 25-day window is enough for the promotion of Sooryavanshi. Actually, when I was discussing about releasing dates of the trailer and movie with Akshay, he told me that his lucky number is 9. And the date 02-03-2020 adds up to 9. So, he [Akshay Kumar] seemed keen to have the trailer out on this day. In fact, February 27 was also selected for the same reason for the trailer launch.”
